Why Flam exists
A modern pellet stove is a computer that burns wood. The software shipped with it does not do it justice.
Flam came out of a simple observation: the apps supplied by stove manufacturers are often slow, badly rated, and barely more than a remote control. They can light and stop a stove. They cannot anticipate.
Yet a pellet stove has a property a radiator does not: it takes time. A room does not go from 17 to 20 °C in ten minutes, and the stove keeps heating long after it has stopped. Controlling a stove properly means working with that lag rather than against it.
That is all Flam does. The rest — lighting, stopping, scheduling the week — stays free, because charging for a remote control makes no sense.
No affiliation
Flam is not owned by any stove manufacturer, is not endorsed by any, and receives no payment from any. The app talks to manufacturers' online services exactly as their own app would, using your credentials. It replaces neither your appliance's warranty nor its servicing.
